Project Staff
The HELLP project staff works collaboratively with the Office of Head Start, regional offices, consultant trainers and advisors and Head Start program participants to create an extraordinary training model and set of project materials dedicated to serving English language learners.

Becky Collins Fiscal Specialist

Becky has 35 years of accounting experience working for car dealers, electronics firms, telecommunications company and an electrical contractor. She started work with CDI fiscal department in May of 2001. She enjoys working in the accounting field and is very good with numbers. |

Chris Webster Technology Specialist
|
 |
Chris is a web developer and serves as the Technology Specialist on the project. He is responsible for developing and maintaining the HELLP website. Chris has ten years of experience consulting, designing and developing websites for a wide range of organizations from corporate to nonprofit. Chris holds a Bachelor's degree in Government as well as Music and is currently pursuing a Master's of Business Administration. |

Cristina Aguilar Project Director

Cristina has been involved with national project development and implementation since 2000. She served as the web manager of the national training and technical assistance project on early education partnerships/collaborations (QUILT—Quality in Linking Together) and then as CDI’s Media Communications Specialist. She has been involved with HELLP since the planning phase in 2005. Cristina has a Master's in Communication and a Bachelor's in Journalism. |

Gretchen West Administrative Assistant

Gretchen's professional skillfulness in the areas of communication, coordination, shipping/distribution and event development enable the HELLP team to focus on our commitment to implementing the HELLP project with total success.
Reentering the work force in 1999 after an 11 year hiatus, Gretchen brings with her, the passion and energy for “making a difference.” From winning awards in retail customer service, impacting young women as a House Director at a small, private University, to developing multiday events reuniting old friends from all over the globe, Gretchen’s commitment to people and the HELLP Project is absolute.

Noemí Aguilar ELL Specialist

Noemí has worked with English language learners since 1990 and in family literacy for 14 years in a variety of roles. Her commitment to children and families is evident through her work experiences. Noemi has developed curriculum, mentored teachers, served on several advisory councils and state committees for professional development and wrote several articles published in Adult Education newsletters. Recently, Noemi has also provided training and technical assistance to Head Start programs in Region VIII and was a trainer for the Parent Mentor Project at The National Center for Family Literacy.
