About HELLP
The Head Start English Language Learners Project (HELLP) is a national
initiative dedicated to training and supporting Head Start programs
that serve young English language learners and their families.
HELLP is one of eight Head Start Innovation and Improvement Projects
(IIPs) funded by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Administration
for Children and Families, Administration on Children, Youth and Families,
Office of Head Start to strengthen and support Head Start programs nationwide.
Community Development Institute (CDI) in Denver, Colorado created the
HELLP project and received funding for its planning and implementation.
